49ers | Alex Smith suffers sprained finger

San Francisco 49ers QB Alex Smith (finger) suffered a sprained middle finger on his throwing hand in the Week 5 win against the Buffalo Bills. Before departing in the second half of the blowout win, Smith completed 18 of his 24 pass attempts for 303 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Smith also gathered 49 yards on three runs.
