San Francisco Giants SP Matt Cain allowed three runs on five hits over five innings in Game 1 of the NLDS against the Cincinnati Reds Saturday, Oct. 6, with one walk and four strikeouts. His streak of consecutive innings in the postseason without allowing an earned run ended at 23 1/3, after he served up a two-run homer to 2B Brandon Phillips in the third inning - the fifth-longest streak in major league history.
