Texans | Closer look at Arian Foster's workload
Houston Texans RB Arian Foster already has four 24-plus carry games matching his previous highs in the regular season for both 2010 and 2011. His yardage per carry has steadily decreased as well, from 4.9 in 2010 to 4.4 last season to 3.7 so far in 2012. Thanks in part to a transitioning offensive line, the yardage is much harder to come by. As a result, Foster is having to work harder than ever before for what he's getting. Head coach Gary Kubiak, however, feels Foster can handle the heavier workload. "He can handle it, I know that," Kubiak said. "You never know how the season's gonna go, and what it's gonna take to win each week. We're giving Arian some breaks at practice during the course of the week, but he looks fine to me."
