Dodgers | Matt Kemp may have surgery
Los Angeles Dodgers OF Matt Kemp (shoulder) might need to undergo surgery in the offseason on his shoulder, according to trainer Sue Falsone. The decision for surgery won't be decided until he does an exit physical. Kemp is dealing with a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He could go with a conservative approach involving rest and treatment, undergo a minor cleanup procedure which would keep him from throwing for six to eight weeks or he could have his labrum completely repaired, which would keep him out for four months. However, in the worst-case scenario, Kemp would still be expected to be ready for spring training next year.
