Steelers | Wanted to sign Michael Vick
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin wanted to sign Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick upon his release from prison. Two things, however, prevented Tomlin from bringing Vick to Pittsburgh. The main reason was ownership was against the idea. The team was also reigning Super Bowl champs and did not need the controversy. Tomlin said he also did not want to add Vick to the mix, especially considering QB Ben Roethlisberger was dealing with a lawsuit. Tomlin felt it would have been a bad idea.
