Boston Red Sox 3B Will Middlebrooks (wrist) was able to take batting practice Monday, Oct. 1, and he said Tuesday, Oct. 2, that he was pleased with how the session went. "Better than I thought it would," Middlebrooks said. "I hit a few balls out, which kind of surprised me, because it still feels pretty weak. I'm still a little sore today. It's just a gauge. And they feel more comfortable now with me going into the offseason and doing my workouts and I don't really have to worry about anything."
