Tigers | Max Scherzer won't pitch Wednesday

Detroit Tigers SP Max Scherzer (shoulder, ankle) was tentatively scheduled to throw five innings in the season finale Wednesday, Oct. 3, but now he won't throw at all after twisting his right ankle in the team's on-field celebration Monday, Oct. 1. SP Drew Smyly may pitch an inning Wednesday, but nothing more.
