White Sox | Paul Konerko to undergo hand surgery
Chicago White Sox 1B Paul Konerko (hand) will undergo surgery after the season to remove a floating bone fragment from his left hand. "It is something I need to take care of," he said. "I don't feel it has impacted anything I've done this year. It is just time to get it out of the way." Konerko has had the fragment in his hand since 2009 and has taken occasional shots and treatment whenever it flared up. Recovery time is expected to be four to six weeks.
