NFL | Roger Goodell writes letter to fans

In an open letter released by the NFL Friday, Sept. 28, commissioner Roger Goodell said fans deserved better than to watch games officiated by replacements. "I regret we were not able to secure an agreement sooner in the process and avoid the unfortunate distractions to the game," Goodell said. Goodell tells fans the new contract will improve officiating, and he also commended the replacements for their dedication.
