Tigers | Justin Verlander efficient in win

Detroit Tigers SP Justin Verlander picked up his 16th win of the season Monday, Sept. 24, against the Kansas City Royals, allowing two earned runs and nine hits with no walks and eight strikeouts over eight innings. He threw 89 of his 114 pitches (78 percent) for strikes, his highest percentage of his career.
