Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim manager Mike Scioscia said Friday, Sept. 21, that he will "match up" with RPs Scott Downs, Ernesto Frieri and Kevin Jepsen in the ninth inning, meaning Frieri is no longer the clear-cut closer.
