Astros | Jed Lowrie not playing
Houston Astros SS Jed Lowrie (knee) is sitting out Thursday, Sept. 20, to give his right knee a day to rest. "Personally, I don't think he's 100 percent with that knee," interim manager Tony DeFrancesco said. "I think there's still some stuff going on in there and he's playing with that big knee brace. Two days in a row is good for him." INF Marwin Gonzalez (ankle) started at shortstop Thursday, his first action since hurting his left ankle Aug. 30.
