Giants | Melky Cabrera unlikely to be denied batting title
San Francisco Giants OF Melky Cabrera, who will end the season with a .346 batting average, is unlikely to be denied a batting title by the league if he ends the year with the highest average in the National League. He is currently seven points ahead of Pittsburgh Pirates OF Andrew McCutchen. "You can't change records because once you get into that it would never stop," commissioner Bud Selig said. "It would create more problems than it would solve."
