Reds | Aroldis Chapman to be shut down five days
Cincinnati Reds RP Aroldis Chapman will be shut down at least five days with shoulder fatigue. Chapman's fastball velocity has been down noticeably in his last two outings, but he is adamant that he is pain-free. "I wasn't really worried about it (last night) as much as I was more worried about his command than I was his velocity," manager Dusty Baker said. "Nobody goes out there with the same velocity all the time. I talked to Dr. Kremchek, our medical staff and our trainers. They just said he's a bit fatigued." Chapman is up to 67 2/3 innings after he threw 63 innings all of last year.
Fantasy Tip: If you are set in saves, you may want to consider benching Chapman until he proves his velocity is back and his arm is strong again.
In the meantime, if you are desperately searching for saves, target Jonathan Broxton first over Sean Marshall.
