Bills | No timetable for Fred Jackson
Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (knee) underwent an MRI on his injured knee Monday, Sept. 10, but it did not provide an exact timetable for his recovery. The team will monitor the injury over the next seven to 10 days.
Fantasy Tip: Running back C.J. Spiller will get a majority of snaps while Jackson is out of the lineup. Spiller should be a starter every week until Jackson returns.
Early reports said Jackson sprained his lateral collateral ligament, which could range in rehab of three to eight weeks, depending on the severity of the injury. A complete tear would sideline him for the season. LCL injuries aren't known for massive swelling, like an ACL tear, but they result in instability and stiffness.
Jackson is on the wrong side of 30 to begin with. It wouldn't be a stretch to think Spiller, who has blossomed in this offense, becomes a fantasy fixture even after F-Jax returns.
