Seahawks | Pete Carroll defends Russell Wilson
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll defended the play of QB Russell Wilson following Week 1. Carroll pointed to how hard Wilson battled in the game even though he was just 18-of-34 passing for 153 yards with a touchdown and one interception. "I thought Russell battled," Carroll said. "They pressured a lot, made it tough on us. But he hung in there, came back, and did a very nice job of getting back into the game in the second half."
