Redskins | Robert Griffin makes NFL history in Week 1
Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III became the first player in NFL history to compile 300-plus passing yards, two or more passing touchdowns and no interceptions in his NFL debut in Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints. He completed 19-of-26 passes for 320 yards, two TDs and no INTs, and he ran 10 times for 42 yards.
Fantasy Tip: Griffin will face the St. Louis Rams in Week 2, a team which allowed 355 passing yards by Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford in their opener. Fantasy owners will want to consider him as a low-end QB1 for that prime matchup, but keep an eye on the injury to WR Pierre Garcon (foot). If Garcon cannot go, Griffin loses a little appeal.
