Cardinals | Daniel Descalso continues to see time at SS

St. Louis Cardinals 2B Daniel Descalso has started five of the seven games at shortstop since SS Rafael Furcal (elbow) went down to injury. "Danny has done a real nice job making plays," manager Mike Matheny said Friday, Sept. 7. The skipper added that defense will play a priority in who starts in place of Furcal, who is expected to be out for the rest of the season.
