New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick confirmed Sunday, Sept. 2, that QB Ryan Mallett has won the backup job to QB Tom Brady. "He's in the on-deck circle. He's the next guy," Belichick said of Mallett. "He's earned that spot now."
