Redskins | Mike Shanahan keeping RB starter secret
Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan indicated Saturday, Sept. 1, that he has settled on a starting running back for Week 1, but he is keeping it a secret. He said RBs Roy Helu Jr. and Evan Royster have made "tremendous progession" in pass protection, so the starter is believed to be one of the two.
Fantasy Tip: Helu, Royster and undrafted rookie RB Alfred Morris are each expected to see touches in the opener against the New Orleans Saints. This type of secretive behavior by Shanahan gives fantasy owners fits. Look for Shanny to play the hot hand throughout the season, so be prepared to shuffle your lineup accordingly.
