Dodgers | Kenley Jansen to visit heart specialist Tuesday

Los Angeles Dodgers RP Kenley Jansen (heart) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session Friday, Aug. 31, and is expected to play catch Saturday, Sept. 1. He is scheduled to visit a heart specialist Tuesday, Sept. 4, who will let him know if he needs to continue taking a blood-thinning medication to treat a heart condition. If all goes well, Jansen could pitch as soon as Friday, Sept. 7, against the San Francisco Giants. However, if he is required to continue taking the medication, he could miss the rest of the season.
