Cardinals | Yadier Molina still experiencing pain on left side

St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said C Yadier Molina (shoulder, back, neck) continued to experience discomfort in his left upper body Friday, Aug. 31, and could be held out of the lineup Saturday, Sept. 1. Three wild pitches were thrown in Friday's game and Molina appeared to have difficulty reaching for anything elevated. "A lot of it has to do with his left side, his shoulder, taking the brunt of that hit the other day," said Matheny, a former catcher. "I remember that. Your glove feels like it weighs 10 pounds. You just can't move it. He's been trying to fight through it. But it was a little more obvious (Friday) than it was (Thursday). We're going to have to give him time."
