Cardinals | Rafael Furcal update

St. Louis Cardinals SS Rafael Furcal (elbow) said he felt a "pop" in his right elbow Thursday, Aug. 30, and it is believed that he tore his ulnar collateral ligament, which would require Tommy John surgery. INF Daniel Descalso will step in at shortstop in Furcal's absence. SS Ryan Jackson could return when rosters expand this weekend.
