Astros | Edgar Gonzalez could be recalled

The Houston Astros are considering recalling minor league SP Edgar G. Gonzalez when rosters expand next month and inserting him into the rotation. He allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits in his first start for Triple-A Oklahoma City Friday, Aug. 24, with two walks and two strikeouts. He had spent most of the year pitching for a Mexican League team after beginning the season with the Colorado Rockies' Triple-A affiliate in Colorado Springs.
