Dodgers | Rubby De La Rosa pulled off waivers

The Los Angeles Dodgers pulled SP Rubby De La Rosa off waivers after he was claimed by an undisclosed team Friday, Aug. 24, meaning that he could be a potential chip in a blockbuster trade with the Boston Red Sox. He could wind up being a player to be named if the Dodgers land Red Sox 1B Adrian Gonzalez and SP Josh Beckett. OF Carl Crawford, who could also be part of the deal, has already cleared waivers. P Allen Webster and OF Jerry Sands could be other parts of the deal.
