Vikings | No setbacks for Adrian Peterson
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said RB Adrian Peterson (knee) has had no setbacks in his recovery after the team decided not to use Peterson in any remaining preseason games. "There are no setbacks. That's not the reason we're doing it," Frazier said. "We just feel like more time with him in practice with some of the things that we're doing and the progression of getting him ready for the season, it's the right thing to do." Frazier isn't guaranteeing that Peterson will play in Week 1, and the team will continue to be cautious with his recovery. He's ahead of schedule, but the team doesn't see harm in continuing to be cautious. Peterson carried the ball 18 times in practice Monday, Aug. 20.
