Athletics | Roster moves

The Oakland Athletics activated OF Seth Smith (hamstring) from the disabled list Tuesday, Aug. 21, and optioned 2B Jemile Weeks to the minors in a corresponding move. Also, RP Jordan Norberto (undisclosed) was put on the DL, and P Graham Godfrey was designated for assignment to clear roster space for SS Stephen Drew.
