Yankees | CC Sabathia on track

New York Yankees SP CC Sabathia (elbow) threw from flat ground Friday, Aug. 17, and he'll throw a bullpen session in the near future. Manager Joe Girardi isn't sure when Sabathia will return, but he's eligible to be activated Thursday, Aug. 23. Girardi expects Sabathia to return to start next weekend.
