Phillies | Freddy Galvis' season may be over despite end of suspension

Philadelphia Phillies 2B Freddy Galvis (back) saw his 50-game suspension for violating the substance-abuse policy come to an end on Thursday, Aug. 16, but he will be placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday, Aug. 17, with a strained lower back. It is doubtful Galvis plays before the end of the season because he still is recovering from his back injury. He possibly could play in Instructional League, but he is expected to play winter ball in Venezuela.
