Mariners | Jesus Montero not ready for 1B

Seattle Mariners manager Eric Wedge said C Jesus Montero isn't quite ready to play first base with OF Mike Carp (thigh) heading to the disabled list, meaning 1B Justin Smoak is a likely candidate to be recalled. Montero has been taking ground balls at first base and it's expected that his future isn't behind the plate.
