Yankees | CC Sabathia placed on DL

The New York Yankees have placed SP CC Sabathia (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list with elbow stiffness.

Fantasy Tip: Wallace Matthews notes that Bombers manager Joe Girardi doesn't seem too concerned about the ailment and that the club is taking a precautionary route in the handling of its ace. Although roto managers are dreading the day that Sabathia's workload catches up to him, it's highly unlikely that this is that day, and he probably won't miss more than the minimum.

Of the two possible replacements, David Phelps and Adam Warren, Phelps is the one who garners any fantasy interest at all. The left-hander won't get deep into contests, but his ability to fan the opposition and keep opponents off the bases plays well, even in most leagues, as many owners in them have already discovered.
