Yankees | Joe Girardi noticing improvement in Joba Chamberlain

New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi said he has noticed gradual improvement in RP Joba Chamberlain in every outing since coming off of the disabled list, even though he has allowed at least one run in each of those appearances. "I think his stuff has been a little bit more consistent," Girardi said. "His slider has been more consistent and I think he will get better as time goes on." According to Fangraphs.com, Chamberlain is throwing curveballs and sliders as frequently as he did last season and his fastballs are registering 94.1 mph, just slightly above his career average. However, he is throwing his fastball less often and his changeup more frequently than in the past.
