Mets | Ike Davis won't automatically sit vs. LHP

New York Mets 1B Ike Davis was out of the lineup Friday, Aug. 10, against Atlanta Braves SP Paul Maholm, a left-hander. Manager Terry Collins said Davis won't automatically be out against lefties, but he wanted to get right-handed hitting INF Ronny Cedeno in at second base. 2B Daniel Murphy entered 5-for-6 in his career against Maholm, so he was used at first base in place of Davis.
