Twins | Trevor Plouffe to begin short rehab stint Saturday

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Twins OF Trevor Plouffe (thumb) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment Saturday, Aug. 11, with Triple-A Rochester. He was able to take batting practice Friday, Aug. 10, at Target Field. He is hopeful of coming off the 15-day disabled list as soon as Monday, Aug. 13.
