Cardinals | More on Lance Berkman

St. Louis Cardinals 1B Lance Berkman (knees) received cortisone injections in both of his knees over the weekend. They're attempting to alleviate swelling and soreness within the joints so he can spend his time on the DL rebuilding strength, specifically in his right leg. He has begun a running and weight-training regimen to attempt to return in a part-time role. Berkman said he has to strengthen the muscles around the knee to regain the balance and power he's lacked at times when hitting.
