Jets | Changing scheme might benefit Shonn Greene
The New York Jets plan to be more physical on offense, and they'll concentrate more on running the football. After being a primarily zone-running team with former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and Bill Callahan, new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano plans to put a greater emphasis on gap-scheme plays. He wants the team to thrive as a power running team, with the offensive linemen knocking defenders off the ball and the running backs like RB Shonn Greene plowing straight ahead at a designated gap. "We can lead this league in rushing again," running backs coach Anthony Lynn said. "I have no question."
