Marlins | Josh Johnson falls just short of CG
Miami Marlins SP Josh Johnson allowed two runs - one earned - and five hits over 8 2/3 innings in a win Friday, Aug. 3, in the second game of a doubleheader against the Washington Nationals. He did not walk a batter, and struck out nine. He reached 115 pitches, and was removed with two outs in the ninth inning, falling just short of his first complete game since April 26, 2010.
