Rangers | Mike Olt could be used everywhere

The Texas Rangers recalled 3B Mike Olt mainly to fortify their bench, but he can also play first base, right field and spell 3B Adrian Beltre at third base occasionally. The team said Olt recently has made adjustments to cut down on his strikeouts. "He's never going to be a slap-hitter," general manager Jon Daniels said. "That's not his game, but like a lot of guys with power, strikeouts are going to be part of his game. He's going to continue to make adjustments and learn. Understanding that, we felt he was someone who could help the club."
