Brewers | Shaun Marcum cleared for sim game
Milwaukee Brewers SP Shaun Marcum (elbow) will throw a simulated game this weekend after his bullpen session was "outstanding" Wednesday, Aug. 1. "He threw everything, all of his off-speed stuff, felt great," said manager Ron Roenicke. "He's ready to do a simulated (session) in St. Louis. Then he should be ready to go out." Marcum will likely need two rehab starts before returning, and he isn't eligible to return until Aug. 14.
