Red Sox | Felix Doubront feeling strong
Boston Red Sox SP Felix Doubront said he is feeling strong despite increasing his workload drastically from last season. Injuries caused him to pitch only 87 2/3 innings last year, and he's already up to 107 frames in 2012. "I told them if I feel good, nobody is going to stop me," said Doubront, who leads the rotation with strikeouts (105), wins (10) and ERA (4.54). "We can maybe skip one start, but if I'm feeling good I don't want to skip one start because of innings. If I feel good, I'm going to keep throwing." He has cut down on his throwing between starts after the All-Star break in order to preserve himself. He has stayed strong by maintaining his conditioning program, and he's even gained a few pounds.
