Detroit Lions RB Kevin Smith worked with the first-team offense in practice Friday, July 27. He looks much strong than last year. With RB Jahvid Best (concussion) on the Physically-Unable-to-Perform (PUP) list, and RB Mikel Leshoure facing a two-game suspension, Smith might very well serve as the team's Week 1 starter.
