Cardinals | Chris Carpenter to begin rehab next week

St. Louis Cardinals SP Chris Carpenter (shoulder) will start his rehab assignment next week, but he won't guarantee that he'll be back next season. Dr. Greg Pearl said there were no complications with Carpenter's procedure to relieve nerve compression in his right arm. He had his rib removed along with two of the connecting muscles.
