Tigers | Omar Infante, Anibal Sanchez acquired

The Detroit Tigers have acquired 2B Omar Infante and SP Anibal Sanchez from the Miami Marlins for SP Jacob Turner.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez's shift to the Junior Circuit initially sounds scary, but he has the arsenal to adjust and should continue to carve out his place among the top 36 or so mixed SPs. A rough June has skewed his otherwise solid numbers. He'll justifiably command a high FAAB price as he switches mono-league player universes.

Infante will prove useful for AL-only managers, as well. He joins a more potent lineup and gains more middle-infield cred in mixers, but he's still a BA-reliant commodity.

Turner will probably jump right into the Marlins' rotation. His move to the National League might improve his chances on giving fantasy value for the rest of this season. He's proven adept at limiting homers; so has Marlins Park. Turner's long-term stock still has front-end upside, but the 21-year-old must conquer his control issues to be anything more than an NL-only and deep-mixed flier in redrafts.
