Orioles | Steve Pearce prefers to stay

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Orioles OF Steve Pearce said Saturday, July 21, that he would prefer to stay with the organization. He was designated for assignment, and can become a free agent if he declines an outright assignment to Triple-A Norfolk, but it appears he will not do so unless he finds a major league club interested in his services.
