St. Louis Cardinals OF Jon Jay was not in the starting lineup Friday, July 20, against the Chicago Cubs. He has been scuffling since returning from the 15-day disabled list June 22, batting just .211 during the stretch. "I'm ot going to make any excuses for anything," Jay said. "I'm just playing bad right now, hitting bad right now. Baseball's about adjustments, and I just have to make a better adjustment right now."
