Rays | James Shields not changing anything

Tampa Bay Rays SP James Shields said he has made some very minor adjustments in the midst of a rough stretch that has seen him allow 45 hits over his last four stars. He leads the league in hits allowed this year with 146. The only thing he did differently during his bullpen session this week was throw 20 more pitches because he felt good. "If I stick with my routine, I think it's eventually going to catch up with me," Shields said. "Normally when you're going through a stretch like I'm going through right now, you see something very dramatic. But we didn't really see anything dramatic. It's a matter of just executing my pitches and going deep into the game and getting a win," Shields said.
