Padres | Micah Owings to have surgery

San Diego Padres P Micah Owings (elbow) will have season-ending surgery on his right elbow next week. The pain in his right forearm had not subsided and was getting worse. Owings was attempting to rehab with Triple-A Tucson as a first baseman, outfielder and designated hitter.
