Brewers | John Axford skating on thin ice
Milwaukee Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said the role of RP John Axford might be up for review after another shaky outing and blown save cost the team a win Monday, July 16, against the St. Louis Cardinals. Axford allowed three earned runs, three hits and two walks while retiring just two batters, falling to 2-6 with his sixth blown save of the year. "I think he's got a lot going on upstairs," Roenicke said. "But he still seems to be the same guy. You talk to him before the game or before batting practice, he seems to be the same guy. So I don't know what all the issues are."
Fantasy Tip: Now might be a good time to scoop up Francisco Rodriguez, especially in NL-only fantasy leagues, in the event Roenicke elects to make a change or go to a closer-by-committee situation.
