Arizona Diamondbacks OF Jason Kubel (hamstring) was held out of the starting lineup Monday, July 16, for the third straight game. Manager Kirk Gibson indicated he considered a pinch-hitting appearance for Kubel Sunday, so it appears he'll avoid the 15-day disabled list. "He doesn't want to (go on the DL), we know that," Gibson said. "We don't want to put him there, but time will tell."
