The New Orleans Saints and QB Drew Brees must close a significant gap in guaranteed money if they are to agree on a five-year deal worth about $100 million, according to a person familiar with the negotiations. The sides must complete a long-term deal before the Monday, July 16. The sides were more than $10 million apart in guaranteed money Wednesday, July 11, according to the source.
